Pace McCorkleSr., of Thomson, died Saturday, September 22, 2001, in the UniversityHospital. Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, in WestviewCemetery with the Rev. George Freeman and Dr. James C. Elder Jr.officiating. Mrs. McCorkle was a native of McDuffie County. She was ahomemaker and a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church.Survivors include two daughters, Claudia Primrose, Augusta and Mary AnnGodfrey, Savannah; a stepdaughter, Jennie Guidrey, Marietta; a stepson,Mr. Sonny McCorkle, Thomson; a brother, Mr. Ben Lockett, Augusta; threegranddaughters, Mary Kathryn Godfrey, Elizabeth McCay Godfrey and AliceClaire Primrose; four stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the residence. Therewill be no visitation at the funeral home. |
