....Esther's name was Esther Sarah....named after her grandmother....her mother died very young, possibly in childbirth. The name "Sarah" was passed thru our family...
Birth
|
INDI:BIRT:_PRIM: Y Note: Esther was mentioned in Gideon Couturier's will dated 22 Apr 1756, so she was clearly born prior to this date. Also, we have deduced a range of dates for her marriage to Richard Norman, namely between 01 Aug 1763 and 22 Jun 1771. It's possible she could have married very young, say age 16, and as late as 1771 (when Richard could have been as old as 28). This makes it possible she was born as late as early 1756. If Esther was indeed born in early 1756, that places her age at ~46 when she bore her last known child (Richard) in 1802. |

Jonathan Dubose (son of Esther and Isaac Dubose, i.e., Esther Couturier’s uncle) mentions niece Esther Norman (married name) in his will dated 22 Jun 1771. Thus, Esther and Richard must have been married between those two dates. |
