Address: 109 Clayton Street Note: Obituary: Obituary: Well-Known Macon Merchant Passes Away at His Home Charles Baker Moore, Sr., died at his late home, 109 Clayton Street, at 1:27 o'clock Tuesday morning. Mr. Moore had been in declining health several years. He had been a resident of this city thirty-eight years, and was a well-known merchant here. Besides his wife, one son, C. B. Moore, Jr., and one step-son, R. B. Wallace, survive; also one brother, B. F. Moore, of Jones County. Mr. Moore was born in Jones County February 7, 1860. Two years ago he retired from active business on account of ill health. Funeral services will be from the residence this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. W. H. Sledge, pastor of the Cherokee Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Thomas Grier, T. C. Drew, H. A. Gibson, M. J. Thompson, Porter Henderson, and Martin Callaghan. |
