George Van Horn, aged 72 years, died at his residence No. 141 Lloyd avenue, Edgewood, shortly after midnight Friday night after a lingering illness. He was born in Clearfield county in 1835. His parents were early settlers in Clearfield and during his life he was well known as a millman and in the mercantile business in Braddock. He was a member of Post 181 of the G.A.R. and a member of the First Methodist Protestant Church of Swissvale. He leaves his widow and three children.

She was an active member of the Mifflin Ave. Methodist church. Besides her son, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Hays, Swissvale.
