GEORGE VAN HORN.
George Van Horn, aged 72 years, died at his residence No. 141 Lloyd avenue, Edgewood, shortly after midnight Friday night after a lingering illness. He was born in Clearfield county in 1835. His parents were early settlers in Clearfield and during his life he was well known as a millman and in the mercantile business in Braddock. He was a member of Post 181 of the G.A.R. and a member of the First Methodist Protestant Church of Swissvale. He leaves his widow and three children.

JOHN VAN HORN
John Van Horn, aged 44 [sic. correct age is 46], general foreman of the boiler department of the Edgar Thompson Steelworks, at Braddock, died at the family home 218 Eighth St., yesterday from pneumonia, which developed last Wednesday night. He was born in Braddock, at the old homestead of the Van Horns, 10 yards from his present place of residence, having lived in that immediate neighborhood all his life. He was the eldest son of George Van Horn. Mr. Van Horn had been connected with the boiler department of the Edgar Thompson plant for almost 20 years, 14 of the time as general foreman under Supt. John Noey and previously as foreman of injectors under the old boiler system. He was married in 1890 to Miss Alpharetta Weamer of Indiana county, Pennsylvania, who survives with one daughter, Miss Jean Van Horn. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. George Van Horn of Edgewood Park, a brother, Clarence E. Van Horn of Swissvale, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph A. Hayes of Swissvale.

MRS. HANNAH R. VAN HORN.

Mrs. Hannah R. Van Horn, aged 77, widow of George W. Van Horn, died Tuesday in the home of her son, Clarence E. Van Horn, of 141 Lloyd ave., Edgewood. She was an active member of the Mifflin Ave. Methodist church. Besides her son, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Hays, Swissvale.
