George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth. To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting

Know Ye that we of our Special Grace certain knowledge & meer motion Have given and granted and by these Presents for us our Heirs & Successors do Give & Grant unto Gideon Coutourier [sic: Couturier] his Heirs and Assigns a Planation or Tract of Land containing One Hundred [100] Acres in St: Stephen's Parish Craven County bounded Northeast & South on Land of Peter Gourdin West on Land of Isaac Dubose & hath such shape & form and marks as appears by a Plat thereof hereunto annexed together with all Woods Underwoods Timber & Timber and [sic] Timber Trees Lakes Ponds Fishings Waters Water Courses Profits commodities Appurtenances & Hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining together with Priviledge [sic] of Hunting Hawking & Fowling in and upon the same & all Mines & Minerals whatsoever Saving & Reserving nevertheless to us our Heirs & Successors all White Pine Trees if any should be found growing thereon And also Saving and Reserving nevertheless to us our Heirs & Successors one tenth part of Mines of Silver & Gold only
