A memorial Exhibited by Archer Smith to be registered in Auds [Auditor's] Office SC
Of a Plantation or Tract of Land Contg [containing] 218 <blank space> acres, Situate in St. Pauls Parish Colleton County Beach Hill butting and bounding Westwardly on Lands of James Smith Northerly on Lands of the Estate of Thomas Diston & Easterly & Southwdly on Lands of the Estate of John Norman and is part of 656 acres, Sold by the Exors [Executors] of Samuel Stevens deed to Wm Godfrey Qt Rt 1/ Pro: money p hundred acres [Quit-Rent 1-shilling Proclamation money per hundred acres] and conveyed by him to the memorialist by Lease and Release bearing date the 10th & 11th days of January 1764 [10 Jan 1764 & 11 Jan 1764].
In Witness whereof he hath hereunto set his hand the 23rd April 1765 [23 Apr 1765].
