A Memorial exhibited by Richard Downes to be Regd. [Registered] in the Auditor Office &c [etc.] of a plantation or tract of Land Containing 34 & 1/2 [34.5] acres Situate in Colleton County St. Pauls Parish bounded to the SW on Lands of George Evans to the W on William Normans & to the NW on Daniel Blakes Land & to the Eastward on Land belonging to Thomas Peter Deceased Survey Certified the 20th of Octr. 1767 [20 Oct 1767] and Granted the 20 day of Feby 1768 [20 Feb 1768] to the Memst. [Memorialist] at the Qt Rt of 3/ Stg or 4/ Pro money [Quit Rent of 3s Sterling or 4s Proclamation money] per 100 acres to Commence two years from the date.

In Witness Whereof he hath hereunto Set his hand the 7th day of March 1768 [07 Mar 1768]
