This family was not found on the 1870 US Federal Census.
According to the 1900 census, Frances was listed as having given birth to 17 children, but of which only 9 were still living. Thus, we deduce the relative birth order of the children who were deceased by 1900 by assuming ~2 years between child births. We further deduce that child 5 died before 1860 since s/he was not enumberated on the 1860 census, and that children 6.2, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, and 16 died before 1880 since none of them were enumerated on the 1880 census. It's possible that one or more of children 6.2, 8, 9, and 10 died before 1870, but we may never know since none of this family was found on the 1870 census
