Carolina: To all people to whom these presents shall come **Moses Norman** of the County of Colleton & province of South Carolina Planter sendeth greeting Know the that I the sd. ''[said]'' **Moses Norman** for & in consideration of the sum of Fifty three pounds ''[£53]'' currt. ''[current]'' money of this Province to Me in hand at & before the Ensealing & Delivery of these presents well & truly paid by **Thomas Snow** of the County of Berkley & Province aforesaid Tanner the Receipt whereof the sd. **Moses Norman** do acknowledge & therof ''[sic]'' & of every part & parcel therof do acquit exonerate & discharge the sd. **Thos.** ''[**Thomas**]'' **Snow** & his heirs Execrs. ''[Executors]'' & Admrs. ''[Administrators]'' hath given granted bargain'd sold alien'd enfeof'd & confirmed & by these presents doth fully freely clearly & absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene ''[sic]'' enfeoff & confirm unto the sd. **Thos. Snow** his heirs & assigns for ever a Plantation or parcel of Land containing twenty six ''[26]'' acres situate lying & being in Berkley County by the head of Ashly ''[sic: Ashley]'' river & is butted & bounded Northerly on the County Road or broad Path & on all other sides on land formerly of the sd. **Moses Norman** together with all & singular the ways profits Easments ''[sic]'' Immunities Priviledges ''[sic]'' rights Comoditys ''[sic]'' hereditamts ''[hereditaments]'' & appurtenances therunto ''[sic]'' belonging or in any ways appertaining. ++++ [This portion of the text is not genealogically relevant...] | To have & to hold use occupy possess & enjoy all the above granted & bargained premises & their appurtenances with priviledg ''[sic]'' of Hunting Hawking Fishing & Fowling within the bounds & limits of the same & all woods Timber & other things stand growing or being theron ''[sic]'' or by any ways or means whatsoever belonging therunto (except all Royal Mines & Quarries of Gems & precious Stones & one sixth ''[1/6]'' part of the Oar ''[Ore]'' of all base Mines when digged ''[sic]'' & washed or one tenth ''[1/10]'' part refined) to him the sd. **Thos. Snow** & his heirs & assigns forever for his & their only proper use benefit & behoof, He or they yielding & paying for the same unto the Proprs. ''[Proprietors]'' of this Province or their Rect. ''[Receipt]'' yearly & every year after the rate of Twelve pence ''[12p]'' for an ''[sic]'' hundred acres wch. ''[which]'' is in lue ''[sic: lieu]'' of & for all manner of service due to the Proprs. of this province as Lords of the Fee. And the sd. **Moses Norman** for himself his heirs Execrs. & Admrs. doth Covenant & Promise to & with the sd. **Thos. Snow** & his heirs & assigns in manner & form folg. ''[following]'' (that is to say) that at the time of this present bargain & Sale & until the Ensealing & delivery of these Presents be the sd. **Moses Norman** is the true sole & lawful owner of all the abovesd. ''[abovesaid]'' Premises & hath in himself good right full power & lawful authority to Sell Convey & assure the premises in manner & form as aforesd. and that the sd. **Thos.
