Note: The Montgomery Advertiser The Montgomery Advertiser An event of interest which is to occur in the very near future is made known in the following announcement: "Mr. and Mrs. Max Hamburger request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter, Lena Louise, to Mr. William Lacy Powers on Tuesday evening, June 7, 1904, at [?] o'clock, at Saint Francis Street Baptist Church, Mobile, Alabama." The bride-to-be is a handsome, highly educated and very popular young lady. She is a sister of Mr. Max Hamburger, Jr., editor and general manager of The Daily Herald of this city. The groom is one of Mobile's progressive business men, popular in all circles and a musician of rare promise. His skill has been noted time and again in entertainments for "sweet charity," and those who know say his touch on the violin has the ear-marks of a true musician. |
