Note: The Weekly Advertiser The Weekly Advertiser Death of Mrs. W. L. Chandler. -- The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Willis L. Chandler were grieved yesterday by the announcement of the death of Mrs. Chandler which occurred at five o'clock Friday morning, the 14th inst. at their rooms at the Exchange Hotel. The deceased lady had never enjoyed perfect health, but her unexpected demise was a great shock not only to the husband and family, but to all their friends. About ten days ago she was so indisposed as to take to her bed but revived and was apparently so much improved on Wednesday and Thursday, that fond hopes were entertained of her speedy recovery. During Thursday night however, she became worse, and when her physician was summoned about an hour before the end, she was wrapt in sleep. When she awoke an examination revealed that she was rapidly sinking, and at 5 o'clock breathed her last. |
