Note: William "Billy" McCurdy, Jr., son of William and Sarah "Salley" McCurdy, was born on 3 Jan 1805 in Anderson District, South Carolina. Billy married 1) Dorcas Carroll of South Carolina before 1934. They had two children, Keziah, born 1834, and William Jackson, born 1839. Dorcas died before 1841. Billy married 2) Comfort Ann Pace in June 1841. They had no children. Billy was a State Guard during the Civil War. Records show that he was 58 yrs, 5 ft. 9 in., grey hair, blue eyes and he was a farmer. Billy died on 31 Jan 1891.
