Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Sellers officiating. Tony Dupree, Robb Dupree, Todd Norman, Craig Norman and Chad Beason will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Deep Bottom Cemetery. Born Sept. 14, 1914, in Colquitt County, he is the son of the late Julia Davis Norman and the late William Henry Norman. He was retired from Swift & Co. and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxie Lorene Allegood Norman and two sisters, Essie Gertrude Gay Keaton and Clydie Mae Norman. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Jackson Norman of Moultrie; son, Tommy W. Norman of Moultrie; daughter, Betty Norman Dupree and husband Bob of Moultrie; stepsons, Robert S. Ferguson and Bobby L. Ferguson, both of Moultrie, Gerald Ferguson of Estille Springs Tenn., and Jerry L. Ferguson of Norman Park; brothers, William Henry Norman Jr. and wife Katie of Savannah and Everett Lawton Norman and wife Louise of Moultrie; sisters, Pearl Jordan of Warrenburg, Mo., Grace Allen and husband James of Winterhaven, Fla., and Johnnie Porter and husband Leo of Moultrie; five grandchildren, Robb Dupree, Tony Dupree, Deidre Dupree, Todd Norman and Craig Norman; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Family may be contacted at the family residence, 260 Seminole Drive, Moultrie. Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. |
