John Norman To Samuel Raymond recd on record May 10 1721 [10 May 1721]

To all People unto whom this present writing shall come John Norman of Marblehead in the County of Essex in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England Fisherman with the Consent of his wife Mary [Cox] Norman & Benjamin Norman of Marblehead aforesd. [aforesaid] Cordwainer & Fisherman sons of John Norman & Sarah [Maverick] Norman & Grandsons of Moses Maverick & Eunice his wife late of Marblehead aforesd. Deceased Intestate send Greeting

Know yee That we the said John Norman & Benjamin Norman for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifty Seven pounds two shillings to us in hand Severally well & truely [sic] paid & Secured to be paid by Obligations before the Ensealing & Delivery of these presents by our brother in law Samuel Raymond of Marblehead aforesd. Marriner [sic] the receipt of which money & Obligations we do hereby Acknowledge & for divers other good Causes and Considerations us hereunto moving [sic] have given granted, bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed Remised, Released, Quited Claime & Confirmed & by these present do fully freely Clearly & absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene Enfeoffe, remise release Quit Claime & Confirm unto the said Samuel Raymond in his full Quiet & peaceable possession & Seizen now being & to his heirs & Assignes [sic] forever, all our right Title Interest Share portion proportion Dividend possession Claime & Demand whatsoever which the sd. [said] John Norman ever had now have or which I my heirs or assignes in time to come can may might should or in any wise ought to have or Claime of in & to that house & Land in which the sd. Samuel Raymond now lives into, which house & Land was given to our said Mother Sarah Norman by our sd. Grandfather & Grandmother, which is four parts the said house & Land & to me of right belongs haveing [sic] purchased three rights of my brother Moses & Sister Sarah Braughton & haveing one right by myselfe as also I the sd. Benjamin Norman haveing one right in sd. house & Land as aforesd. or which I my heirs or assignes in time to come can may might should or in any wise ought to have or Claime of in & to that said house & Land in which the sd. Samuel Raymond now lives into which was given as abovesd. with the rights of the Commons Commonages priviledges [sic] Commodities hereditaments Emoluments & appurtenances whatsoever thereof & thereto belonging (to wit) five parts of the whole Scituate Lying & being in the Town of Marblehead aforesd.

To have and to hold all & Singular the above granted & release premises with the appurtenances as abovesd. unto the said Samuel Raymond his heirs & assignes forever to his & their own sole & proper use benefit & behoofe from henceforth & forevermore freely peaceably & Quietly without any manner of reclaime Challeng [sic] or Contradiction of us the said John & Benjamin Normans our heirs or assignes & without any accompt reckoning or answer therefore to be given rendred [sic] or done in time to come to us or any of us our heirs or assignes: so that Neither we the said John & Benjamin Norman our heirs or assignes nor any other person or persons for us or them or in our or their names right or Stead Shall or will by any ways or means hereafter have Claime Challeng [sic] or demand any right Title or Interest of in or to the premises respectively as abovesd. but of & from all & every action of right Title Interest Claime & Demand of in & to the premises respectively as by these presents and the said bargained release & confirmed premises with their appurces [appurtenances] unto the said Samuel Raymond his heirs & assignes against our selves our heirs & assignes & against the Lawfull Claimes & Demands of all & every person & persons whomsoever Shall& will warrant & forever Defend by these presents

In witness whereof the said John Norman & his wife & Benjamin Norman have hereunto sett their hands & Seals the Seventh day of March in the Seventh year of the Reign of our Soveraign [sic] Lord George of Great Britain France & Ireland King Annoq Domini 1720/21 [07 Mar 1720/21]
