Pursuant to a warrant to me directed by John Troup Esq. S.G. bearing date 6th Octr. 1767 [06 Oct 1767]
, I have laid out unto Mr. Richard Downes a plantation or tract of land containing 34 1/2 [34.5]
Acres, being part of a warrant of 2300 Acres, in St. Pauls Parish, Colleton County. Butting and bounding to the SWrd [SouthWestward]
on lands belonging to Mr. George Evans, to the Wrd [Westward]
on the land of Mr. William Norman, and to the NWrd [NorthWestward]
on Danl [Daniel]
Blake Esq. land, to the Erd [Eastward]
on land belonging to the Estate of Thomas Porter Decd [Deceased]
. And hath such shape form and marks as appears by the above delineated plat.
Certified by me this 20 Octr. 1767 [20 Oct 1767]
